It’s nice to meet you.

I unofficially started my art career at about 7 years old, when I would fill tiny sketchbooks with doodles of girls in fashion outfits. Once I entered high school, I took every art and graphic design class offered, which led me to attend Georgia Southern University.

In college, I focused on 2D traditional arts like photography, drawing, and painting. I was lucky though to study photography abroad in China and Vietnam in 2008 before graduating with my Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2010. I moved to Atlanta and in 2012 where I enrolled in Portfolio Center (now Miami Ad School) to further my education in illustration and graphic design.

After schooling, I spent 3 years working in print production before landing my dream job working as the in-house graphic designer (then eventually Creative Project Manager) for Atlanta’s favorite pop company, King of Pops. My accountabilities ranged from product design, to designing marketing collateral and managing the marketing calendar.

At the beginning of this year we were planning for King of Pops’ 10th birthday filled with activations and community engagement when Covid hit. Instead of a big celebration, King of Pops had to scale back and eventually I was laid off like so many others.

On the bright side, King of Pops is still one of my clients and I am beginning a journey that I have dreamed about for some time now, which is to run my own freelancing company and to make my living off my own art. This is where Dani Does Doodles was born.

Art has always been my passion and I am excited to spread it around. So whether it is designing a logo for your new start up, a custom illustration or purchase of my art on products. Thanks for visiting. Stop in and say hi anytime and let’s make something cool together.
